Sustainable bowls plastic alternative

With all the recent sunshine it’s nice to get outdoors and have lunch. If you have young children, then you probably won’t want to risk taking out china plates and drinking glasses for fear of breakages. Popping to your local supermarket and buying a new plastic picnic set may be tempting, but please don’t as its not an eco solution. Firstly, see what plastic tableware you already have in your kitchen cupboard. If you don’t already own any plastic tableware than purchase sustainable tableware such as these bowls designed by Tom Dixon.  They are made from sustainable bamboo making them as light and smooth as plastic. After a long life the bowls can be used as plant pots or simply composted back to earth.
